Research Interests

I am a Research Associate and PhD student at the Chair of Biogeography at the University of Bayreuth. My main research interests include:

  • Isolation patterns as a consequence of speciation (at local, regional and global scales)
  • Global treeline elevations and there ecologic and geographic drivers
  • Macroecological patterns of diversity and endemism
  • Oceanic islands and high-elevated ecosystems (sky islands)

I am experienced to apply statistical analyses (univariate and multivariate methods), models and GIS with R and open source software.

Office hours for students

During semester break on appointment (e-mail).
