DESCRIPTION:Invitationto the 19th workshop of the European Vegetation Surve
 y\, which will be held in Pécs (Hungary) from 29 April to 02 May 2010 and 
 organized by the Department of Plant Systematics and Geobotany in Universi
 ty of Pécs and the Institute of Ecology and Botany  of the Hungarian Acade
 my of Sciences.Scientific Topics   The main topic: 'Flora\, vegetation\, e
 nvironment and land-use at large scale' is focused on searching and reveal
 ing connections between vegetation\, environmental and land-use data for a
 sking and answering ecological questions\, preferably at large scale. Insi
 ght about their implication in policy is also welcome.  Subtopic 1: 'Veget
 ation of European rivers and floodplains' is focused on vegetation units a
 nd their surroundings in riverine environments: vegetation structure\, com
 position and pattern regarding to presence of water.    Subtopic 2: 'Use a
 nd abuse of ecological indicator values'. Experiences – both positive and 
 negative – with ecological indicator values in any vegetation type at any 
 scale.    Both oral and poster presentations are welcome. The workshop wil
 l include the following optional activities: Pre-Workshop excursions to th
