DESCRIPTION:Interuniversity Doctoral Program in Organismal Biology\nAdaptat
 ive Landscape Genetics - a joint workshop with CUSO\n7 - 8 February 2012\n
A joint workshop with CUSO Doctoral Program in Ecology & Evolution\nRatio
nale\n\n\nLandscape genetics is an integrative field of research\, aiming
at understanding microevolutionary processes across natural populations.
It is developing in a rapid way due to advances in genomics technologies
\, environmental data acquisition and statistical methods to associate th
em.\nDuring this two-days meeting at the University of Neuchâtel\, we woul
d like to further explore the contributions of landscape genetics to the
assessment of the interactions between environment and adaptive genetic
variation in natural populations. Invited speakers and contributed talks
will offer an overview of current trends in the field and perspectives on
how it will grow and develop in the future.\nThis meeting is intended as
an opportunity to foster exchange between researchers having complementar
y expertise and to bring this exiting field on step further.\nTarget audi
ence: PhD students (CUSO and non-CUSO)\, postdocs and group leaders\nMore
 informations...\n
