I am a post-doctoral researcher at the department of Disturbance Ecology. My research focuses on the effects of climatic change on plant communities and interactions with disturbance. My background is in forestry, nature management and systems ecology. I have a broad interest in coupled socio-ecological systems, (eco)system stability and resilience and have been working on subjects ranging from the effects of elevated CO2 on plant tissue chemistry, biomass accumulation in tropical forests and links between deforestation, climate and the collapse of ancient civilisations.
